A new device claimed to bring significant and rapid relief to sufferers of acute or chronic pain has been launched by Ariel Medical.
Called TerraQuant, it is a non-invasive, hand-held device based on Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) and using pulse laser and infrared therapies together with therapeutic red light and magnetic field generation technology.
Using a probe, the system works by increasing the speed, quality and strength of cell tissue repair, increasing the blood and oxygen supply to the affected area and stimulating nerve function.
Ariel says it will also develop collagen and muscle tissue, help generate new healthy cells and both speed up wound healing and reduce clot formation.
The treatment is said to have been proven in achieving rapid pain reduction in a wide range of conditions – such as arthritis, lower back pain, joint diseases and spinal conditions through to simpler acute pain, strains and sprains – and the company has reported great interest in the device from sports professionals.
